How Often Does The "Desert Rose" Bloom?

I just bought one and its about 6 and a half inches high and I'm wondering how often it will bloom and what to do to have it bloom better

we have a desert rose in our greenhouse. Its probably 3 foot tall with a fairly large caudex.  I've never seen it fed either but it blooms all the time. keep an eye out for mealy bug and aphids.

This article indicates that flowering ( how often, how long, etc ) depends on the plant's genetics and its surroundings.

Interesting looking plant.  I have never seen one before but will look for them at my garden center.
