  1. Well to be honest with you, if you have permission to get it done by a parent i believe in the United states to get a piercing and or a tattoo you need to be at least 12 but my niece got her belly pierced at 10 but let me tell you that i would never let that happen.  otherwise you have to be 18 to get it done without permission from a legal guardian or parent..

  2. 18

  3. In some places with your parents permission you can get 1 at 14 or 16.

  4. To OWN one? Well, to GET one, usually 18.

  5. Luckily for most places, it's 18.  Getting a tattoo is a big decision...after all, you will have this on your body for the rest of your life!  Your interests as a younger teen will probably drastically change.

It kind of parallels the way people decorate their living spaces.  Think of what a teenager's room looks like compared to what an adult's bedroom looks like.  It might just be me (and I'm probably dating myself here), but if I would have tattooed my body to match my bedroom as a teenager, I would have tattoos of Kirk Cameron, Michael J. Fox, Johnny Depp, Corey Feldman, etc. all over (shudder...lol).  You get the point though...you simply outgrow a lot of the things you're obsessed with as a teenager.

Probably better to wait until you are a little older, more mature, and your tastes are a bit more sophisticated before permanently marking your body.  But that's just my opinion, of course.  Well, that and the opinion of your future boss who wonders why the @#$%^ you have Hannah Montana on your arm...rofl

  6. Depends on where you are in the world. Here in the UK you must be 18 to get a tattoo.

  7. I'm pretty sure its 18.

  8. Most places is 18, but a couple let you at 16 without parental consent.

  9. to own one, any age.. just don't tell anyone where you got it done.

to get one, at most places, 18.

if you're too young, I suggest waiting rather than going to so sketch place that doesn't check I.D.  I've seen a lot of tattoo f*** ups, they don't look too pretty.
