I was wondering .. Could a 16 year old buy Airplane Tickets and book a hotel room abroad ?

And If so , could Anyone at 15 join them ?

Me and my Friends were planning to go on holiday next year

3 of us from the group will be 16 and 5 of us will be 15

None of us are related so will this be a problem ?

  1. + than 18 or + than 21 depends on your country

  2. My brother went to germany on his own and he is 16 .. so i am sure it wont be a problem

  3. i would say ud hv to b 18

  4. In the U.S. , for hotels, you have to be 18 or 21 -depending on the hotel-

Also, if your mom's card was used to pay for the room, she would have to check you in.

I'm not sure about plane tickets

  5. hi in the usa u have to be 15 teen to get on a air plane i am 14 so i cant get on a air plane with out adult and my freind is really sick and i want to go be with him hes 12 hours away but i am 14 and i want to go so bad so i can help him out hes dieing of juenal rumtiod arthritis and i have jeunal rumtiod arthritis so i want to be ther for him but i cant but i think if u look into it and call up ppl u may be able to figur something out

  6. I think you have to get someone to do it on your behalf but there's no law saying 15 and 16 year olds can't go abroad on their own... I know quite a few people who went thousands of miles away on their own aged 10!

  7. The airlines have caught a lot of heat for problems with kids, like losing a 14 year old girl. Not really lost, got on wrong plane.

I would think an adult will have to book for you and provide contact information at least.

Have you seen the news about young kids who come up missing in other countries?

As a parent no way any 15 or 16 year old of mine would go to another country alone.

  8. I'm pretty sure (if you're in the UK) that you can buy plane tickets and fly at 14 as that's what my friend did when she was 14. I don't see why you shouldn't be able to book a hotel at 16 either. My sister was 17 and did that when she went to Paris.

  9. so long as u pay with cash they tend not to ask questions

  10. i think as long you can pay the money...which is usually through credit card which is then 18 years old...

  11. i guess if your paying by cash then no problem

but my guess is 18yrs too you'll need that credit card

  12. hi you

as far as i know you have to be 18 to book airline tickets and/or a holiday this is because you have to sign a contract with the airlines and the travail company and no one under the age of 18 can enter into a legal contract
