How Popular is Cancun in July?

I'm going to Cancun in July 2008 i will be there from the 1st to the 11th. I was wondering how lively it would be and if there would be many American college students or high school seniors there.

Cancun is always busy. I went the end of June- the 5th  of  July in 2006. It was beautiful. A little hot but not unbearable. Remember sunscreen! As far as crowed, it really depends on the resort some are more popular for students and families. The resort I stayed at (the RUI Palace Mexico) was packed with European students and newly weds. But I would not call it crowded. Have Fun!

Cancun is always crowded with college students, high school seniors, couples, families and seniors.

It is not spring break time, that happens in March and April. However, you will still meet many people and have a great time.

July is Summer Break and is generally the time that lots of Americans bring their families to Cancun. It will depend on the resort you stay in, as to what mix of people you will meet, but if you want to be away from College students and the likes there are Adult Only Resorts like Grand Oasis Playa, where the minimum age is 23.

Cancun is a popular destination the whole year round, but has a quieter period during October & November, just before the madness at Christmas & New Year.
