Question:

How Should I Start Exploring Art?

One of my New Year's resolutions this year is to appreciate and consume more art . . . but it seems like such a daunting task. There are so many wonderful artists out there, I have so little knowledge, and I have no clue where to even begin.

Can anyone guide me a little in this endeavor?

  1. Start by looking at Art created by the Masters.  Although  you did not specify which type of art you were interested in, I would go on the Internet and look up  the artist(s) L.Davinci, M. Angello,Raphael, in the Traditional,Contemporary,Modern world art. Paintings -oils,water colors, encostics, acrylics. This  would be in the world of visual Art.

Then there's the Performing art, (etc.)

  2. a little bit of this , a dash of that there , a pinch from here and a whole lotta from that .

just try one thing - try fully exploring it and u'll find some other artforms related without even getting to fully *consume* .

its like reading wikipedia , start on an article then go on and on , on the new different underlined words . and before long , u have to close the page because u feel too tired . but with a sense u learned something u never knew .
