How Strict are they on drinking in cancun, Mexico?

Going to cancun.

Im going to be almost 17

I probably look either 16-17 about my age

Will i be able to drink?

You have to be 18 to drink Alcohol and go Night-Clubing at Mexico.

yes you will be able to drink in cancun.  the true legal drinking age is 18 here now, but you will not be carded.  the clubs will welcome you with open arms....keep your drinks coming and probably try to take you home with them.  please do be careful though.......be smart and do not drink too much....it is very easy to do that here because you are probably not use to drinking a lot.  the waiters like to get the young girls drunk so they can encourage them to go with them after the club.  just so you know.  i have seen many girls your age here get very drunk and then it almost spoils the night.  this happens because you are not that experienced with drinking and you can become very, very drunk before you know it.  i know you do not want to spend most of your vacation with your head in the commode.  just party...have fun...and be smart.  don't forget to go to coco bongo, the city, dady o, xx bar, congo bar, corona bar, margaritaville and pat O'Brien.  you will love them all.

not strict at ALL.  im 14 and when i went, they gave me as much alchohol as i wanted.  just not at the resorts.  but outside the resorts you'll be fine.

yes, the legal drinking age is 18, but it is not strongly enforced, you would be able to buy your own drinks.
