I currently use nero 7 with anydvd to backup my dvd collection onto 4.7 gb dvd+r discs. But in order to leave the movie itself looking good I have to remove everything from the disc except the movie. I like my features too. I paid for the disc, You know, I want a good backup. Is there another program I should be using or what?

  1. cause most DVD movie are encrypted( CSS Copy right protected), you will need to have a 3rd party DVD copy software to help you, take a look at http://www.dvdtoappletv.org/dvd-copy-sof... this unbiased and detailed comparison chart of top 5 DVD copy softwares, 1 Click DVD copy is the best and works great for me.

  2. there're a lot of this kind tools for copying dvd. You can have a look of below review site, which introduces couples of tools and also provides free trial. hope it useful.

  3. Hi C0CH1N0,

Commercial DVDs are recorded on dual layer DVDs. In order to fit them on a standard DVD your program compresses them as much as necessary.

If you use dual layer DVDs for your backups you should not have a problem with loss of quality.

  4. well maybe you should use Dual layer disks first off, and dont use c**p software to transcode the movie.

All those quick 1 click transcoders are terrible, go get DVD Rebuilder and CCE for beautiful backups. its what i use. it has the option of going to single or dual layer also how much space to steal from the extras. So extras dont need to be highest quality it will steal space by making them of lesser quality.

CCE = Cinemacraft Encoder it encodes the movie not transcoding it.

  5. The easiest dvd backup program that

I have found that works 100 percent of the

time is Clone DVD2 and Any DVD.  You need

both programs because Any DVD is a

decrypter, and Clone DVD 2 is a shrinker

(makes a larger dvd fit on a regular disc).

The nice thing about these programs is that

they both come with a 21 day free trial, with

no watermarks, time limits, etc. Click the

link below for the free trial.  Hope this

    helps.
