  1. Umm...do your homework, know the subject, pay attention in class, participate in class, don't be tardy or absent a lot...It's common sense.

  2. Do all of your homework (well) and study for all of your tests. Do not procrastinate, and ask the teacher or another student if you do not understand something.

  3. Practice makes perfect.  The more dedicated and diligent you are, the better off you will do.  Making a commitment to your studies and keeping your mind focused is the best way to excel in school.

Here's some tips that I have followed, and they work wonderfully!

    1. Set goals for yourself and write them down.  If you want to get an A+ in math, then try your hardest on that particular subject.  If you're not too great at English, try to improve, but don't aim for a 100.  A 95 should keep you satisfied, depending on your needs.

    2. Make a schedule of your study plans everyday.  Set aside one hour for English, one hour for science, etc.  Make sure to take a few half-hour breaks along the way so you won't get fatigued.

    3. Study a little every day for each subject, even when you don't have homework or a test.  Don't procrastinate!  Even when you don't have homework in a particular subject, it is still necessary to review the material you learned in class that day.  In my high school, we have pop quizzes nearly everyday!  If you work for just half and hour a day, every day, you can accomplish a lot more that if you procrastinate.

    4. Work your hardest.  You have to give it 100% every time you go to school.  It may seem tedious, but just think about it - in a few years you will be headed off to college.  You need to work now to secure a good future for yourself.

And remember, be resilient!  If you get a bad grade on something, don't put yourself down.  You will only waste precious time by crying and you cannot succeed that way. You have to stand up, be confident, and try even harder the next time.  The only place where success comes before work is in the dictionary.

I hope these tips helped you.  Remember, planning is important if you want to do well.  I wish you all the best!
