  1. You could try holding on to something while you do the toepick?

  2. ohmigoshh! Thats always happening to me! And it is totally making me mad! Thats for asking this question, im going to keep checking it out for more answers =]

    Hahaa, thanks againn!

  3. first off, "spinning" on ur toepick isnt spinning!!! i had the same problem lol..... you have to almost lift ur hip, ya know??? but not your ENTIRE BODY, JUAT YOUR HIP!

  4. practice, practice practice, try bending ur knee more when u go into ur spin and than straightening it, also, hold ur outside edge for a little while. press down on ur rocker.

  5. When you do your spin try to shift your weight towards the middle of your blade but dont lean to far back or you will fall. Or you could also try a trick i taught my self. Hold on to a wall and pretend like you are spinning and see where your foot is and then adjust to a correct spot and then get the feel of that position.

  6. practice more two foot spins to get the feeling of spinning on the ball of your feet

  7. The trick is to really try to balance on the ball of your foot.  Try turning your toes in more while you spin. this will help you spin on the ball of your foot and to center your spin.

    Good luck!

  8. literally pick up your toes in your skate. I did the same theng and thats what my coach told me. You can also lean back a little more. Hope this helps!

  9. Work on getting your turns and edges down first. Practice over and over again 3-turns, rockers, and counters to get yourself centered. You might find you are rising up on these turns as well. You need to just get your center of gravity back. So practice the turns, trying to stay balanced over your blade. Keep your shoulders down, tighten your abs, and keep your bum tucked under. That should help. And don't forget to keep your head up! After you have gotten your turns try spinning again, it should definitely help.

  10. I started like that too but let me repeat myself DON'T STOP TRYING! I got frustrated too when that happened. But I figured a way to conquer it.

Start on the ground. Spin. See if you spin on your toe naturally or  not. If you do, try practicing without tippy-toeing. You should aim to balance on the spot just behind your pick. Which, on your foot, is right behind where your toes line up.

Don't discourage yourself. Just keep practicing and enjoy skating!
