How To Hook Up A CB Inside?

I know you can get a converter that brings the house current down to 12v , but is there another way ? could i build my own convert that would step it down? And if so could you give me a link with plans, thank you in advance, peace

power supply plans can be found a www.n0hr.com or buy the arrl handbook www.arrl.org

you will need a regulated 12v 5a supply. if you are versed at building regulated supplies, I would recommened buying an ASTRON supply. 12v 7a would be your best bet.
