How To Make A Copy Of A DVD?

Ok I use windows XP on a E machine. I want to let a friend from school borrow a DVD, and I love the DVD so I want to have a copy just incase something happens. I would let my friend borrow the real DVD, I just want to be sure that nothing will happen to it. So basically I need to know how to copy a DVD to a DVR, so I don't freak out if my friend breaks the real DVD. It's a very hard DVD to find, and it would be hard to replace if something happened to it. I am not going to sell it or make illegal copies for anyone, just for my own personal use. Also I am going to get the real copy back from my friend, and after that I won't need the copy and can throw it away.

  3. you need to download nero startsmart essentials. most computers have this on it when the computer is bought, but if you dont, go onto the internet and download it for free. when you have completed the download, open up nero startsmart essentials and go to audio and sellect copy dvd. then just insert your dvd and let the computer do the rest. also make sure you have blank discs that have dvd-r wrote on them, it wont burn on the cd-r discs.

  4. I use dvd decrypter, it will make an .iso of the dvd and also allow you to burn a new copy of it.

its freeware and its worked perfectly for me for a long time
