I have to give my hamster a mite spray/bath and the bottle says not to hit the hamster's face, but my hamster never sits still so I'm afraid i might hit my hamster's face.

  1. I've had the same problem with my mouse-- I solved it by spraying the stuff on my fingers, and then rubbing it gently into his fur, in the wrong direction so it gets down to the skin.  I wouldn't recommend actually spraying him, it might scare him, while rubbing it in would probably be less stressful, especially if he's used to being handled.

  2. Try doing it when it is tired/asleep. If she sleeps hidden (in a house or something), then gently and quietly lift the top of your cage off and remove the house.

She should be less active unless she is completely attacted to playing with you.

If that doesn't work or is impossible in some cases, then give it a treat or something in a wide open area. It SHOULD stay there and eat the treat (you don't have to have those fancy made treats; sunflower seeds work very well)

That would be the perfect time to use the mite spray/bath.

If none of the above seem to work, then try taking it to the vet and tell her/him your problems applying the spray/bath and they should help you with that.

Good luck and I hope this helps!
