Firstly, i'm scared that people will think of me as a nerd or something. Secondly, i am doing very badly for my exams. Thirdly, I need the teachers assistance.

i dont want to interrupt the lesson. Should I leave it and ask my friends after class? Or Should i just raise up my hand and ask the teacher?

  1. Do not be concerned with what people think of you, your education is more important than their thoughts.

If you need something explaining during lesson, don't hesitate to put your hand up and ask for it to be explained better...that's what teachers are there for, to ensure you are taught properly.

If you still need further help, talk to the teacher after the lesson or even arrange a time at the end of the day...your education is very important make sure you take advantage of your teachers being there to help you!

  2. i use office hours to invite students who struggle- it is not a form of punishment but a way to get help.

    also ask in class

    - if u dont find that comfortable to put yr hand up and ask i create a signal between myself and a student

they put a pencil behind their ear if they want help.

  3. maybe talk to the teacher after class

or if you're in college usually there are some free tutoring centers on campus
