  1. well, i think you need to convert your music format to wav with a converter before yout insert it to powerpoint.

  2. You can insert music into the slide show, but PowerPoint only works with certain types of media files such as .wma or .mp3.

The iTunes library is full of a different kind of file that only works on iTunes. However, there is a way to get around this

1.Make a playlist of the songs you want on PowerPoint and burn them to an empty disk.

2.Open the disk with Windows Media Player and rip music from the cd into a .wma format

3.Right click on the songs (You can hold down Shift to select multiple songs) and choose to send to Windows Audio Converter. There you can choose the format you would like (I suggest mp3, works best with powerpoint) and save it to a folder

4.Just insert the music into your slide show and you are done!

You may also want the music to play across all slides. To do this, go into custom animation and click on the song playing, click effect options and you can set how long it plays

In order for the song to play on another computer, you must do one of two things:

    1. E-mail the sound file with the PowerPoint show

    2. Usually, the sound file is too large to be embedded into a presentation. Set the maximum sound file size large enough for the file to be played. You can do this in 2007 by clicking on the sound, clicking on "sound tools" at the top of the screen, and adjusting the Max size on the toolbar. Since it is in KB, you should set it to about 4000, maybe slightly more for a longer song. I don't think this can be done in earlier versions.

    Hope I helped You!
