Question:

How To Reassemble My squire stratocaster II?

So I was playing my Squire Stratocaster II when It quit on me and I opened it up to find 4 wires broken off so if its posseble, I need some type of assembly instructions for it or help!

  1. well for the wires, wud definitely reccomend either soldering them...

    soldering if you dont know, is taking a heated piece of metal, and putting the broken wires together, so the wires turn basically to magma, and stick together.. (you have to buy a soldering iron)

    or u cud however do eletrical tape, but it isn't as permanent

Tylex, there are several good sites that offer wiring diagrams for guitars, but http://www.guitarelectronics.com/categor... is one that should help in your situation.  From your description, it sounds like the ground wires from the pickups and adjoining tone control(s) may have separated from the (volume control) housing.  If that is the case, make sure to clean off the solder location before attempting to reconnect.  This is a typical problem that is easily remedied by making sure the surface is free of contaminants and ready to accept solder.  Rather than using chemicals, just scrape the location clean with an appropriate tool.  Hope this helps.  Best regards, Dana
