My cat has for the last 2-3 weeks been going to the bathroom everywhere except her litter box. I've been putting her in the bathroom with the litter box, food and water (on opposite sides) and a toy whenever I leave the house or when I go to bed (because she's been peeing in my room and in the hallway and there's no where else to put her). We got some medication for a UTI (Though they're not sure if that's what she really has because we couldn't get a urine sample because she wasn't peeing anywhere we could get to it.)I've shut all the bedroom doors so now the only place she can go is in the bathroom with her stuff, or downstairs with me and I watch her to make sure she doesn't start going somewhere else. I put aluminum foil in the hall where she was peeing before because they said that she won't like the sound. I also got this anti-anxiety spray stuff just because we don't know what's going on.I'm hoping it will only take a few days of locking her up for her to start using the litter box.But how should I retrain her? Am I doing the right things?
