How To Share Folders From External Hard Drive....?

I have a 1tb external hard drive that I am using to share files on home network. My problem is that whilst files are being shared you cant remove the hard drive via the safely remove icon. This happens even if no users are using the shared folder.

That's right.

So if you want to use safety remove,

you'll have the remove the "share" setting for the Drive letter of the external hard drive.
