How To prevent red light of death?

on xbox 360 is there anything you do to prevent red light of death, ive heard setting block under it if you lay it sideways helps, anything else??

if you have a newer box the RROD shouldn't be much of a worry even if you do get it it is usually more mundane then death of the console usually power cords are loose or something of the like. As preventing it cleaning of the consoles fans, keeping it flat on the ground, giving it enough airflow, and simply not moving the console can help though its probably not going to happen anyway

I have the cooler thing too, it was like 20 bucks, but helps keep your xbox from overheating during extended play...I've had mine for a year and a half and no red light.

Don't let it overheat. Buy a fan for it. Keep it dry and clean and off the ground.

There is no way, it just happens. I did all of the things that MS wanted except for making my 360 levitate. just get your self a store warranty so you can replace it if it bricks on you.
