  1. If Gander Mountain did it for you. It's probably you. You might be casting to hard. I have cheaper rod's and reels that you have to cast a little harder to get the lure out there. I also have a $200 Fenwick with a $100 flueger reel. You don't  have to cast that very hard and if you do cast it hard, you will get tangled up.

  2. go to a bait shop and have them do it for u

  3. There is an adjustment on the reel itself. The adjustment puts tension on the reel so it doesn`t spool out to fast and backlash and become all tangled on the reel. Turn this k**b until the line with a weight does not spool out when you take your thumb off the line. Hope this helps.

  4. use the wrap method

  5. What type of rod is it? Spinning rod (guides or hoops down) or casting rod (guides - hoops up)?

    What type of reel?

Need some more info to help you out...

  6. Get rid of the reel, tie the hook on one end of the line and tie the other end of a shorter line to the top of the pole.  You won't cast as far, but it should stop the tangles.
