How To tell if your ear is infected?

I had my ear pierced almost two weeks ago and my ear is all swollen and red is it infected or just sore. I can't get the back on the earring it's so swollen and I can no longer hear out of that ear.

What should I do?

How should I get the swelling down?

Go to the doctor, it needs to be checked for infection right away considering the swelling and lack of hearing.
