Your 'lower' tax rates, the Iraq War, tax breaks for large corporations & the failed economic policies of this administration - the same advocated by McCain - have take us from a surplue to a National Debt of $9,525,795,780 ($9.5 Trillion) dollars. Spending more than you take in - basic.

The eye-popping $9 trillion gross national debt is owed by the "General Fund." That's the part funded by our income taxes. Half of that goes for the military and to pay interest on the debt. Fortunately, two huge parts of the budget, Social Security and Medicare, are running huge surpluses.

Republicans always say they are Conservative, they spoke about The Contract With America, Abortion, Lower Taxes. But in reality they have put this Country in the pockets of Big Business, And Spent Like Drunken Sailors, Allowed our manufacturing base to relocate abroad, and who will pay the tab, with no jobs its hard to get a paycheck. I have had enough Republican Leadership.

The same way we are paying for the debt past politicians have dumped on us. Two income households will have to work extra jobs.  We keep electing the spenders and then whine.
