  2. Google the name you have. You will receive a number of possibilities with general locations. Use the full name and title in order to pin it down.

  3. I Googled

    says

    ==============

    7 July 1990 Major General Thomas G. Ennis, a veteran Marine aviator, died at the age of 85. A graduate of the Naval Academy, Major General Ennis was commissioned in the Marine Corps in 1928. He served on Guadalcanal and the Philippines during World War II and commanded Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, South Carolina, before his retirement in 1960.

    ===================

    If he was flying at Guadalcanal and lived to tell about it, he was dammed good and had steel balls.

    Ask your mom / dad / grandparents what his first name was.

    Once you get that you can do a much better search.
