How Would Pacquiao Do @ 140 and 147?

Question

Manny is currently moving up to the 135 LB division but if Floyd Mayweather can move up and be successful how do you think Manny Pacquiao would do in those divisions?

I think Manny would get knocked out if he moved up in weight to 140 or 147 he is too small to fight the big guys.

well i think you are right. Manny can't slug it out with Ricky Hatton and much less with Cotto. They are just too big. If Manny wants a fight at 135 then i think Juan Diaz is the man to fight him.

Pacquiao is getting hit to easy now..HATTON IS TOO STRONG FOR HIM AND MAYWEATHER IS FOR TOO GOOD AND ACCURATE FOR PACQUIAO - Pacquiao would lose both fights and will struggle at lightweight

I agree with you, entirely. Pacquiao would not be as successful as Mayweather in fighting at junior welterweight or welterweight. Pacquiao started out at junior flyweight, while Mayweather started at featherweight. Pacquiao being the naturally smaller guy would have a much harder mountain to climb than Mayweather did. Not only would the natural size play a role, but Pacquiao style of fighting is not made to go up against stronger fighters at 140 or 147.

Mayweather's overall talent and skill involving his speed, defense and countering ability aided him in getting through on up to welterweight. Pacquiao doesn't possess what I would consider great defense and it would cost him as he battles men who are much bigger naturally and have been used to fighting at 140-147 most of their careers. Pacquiao coming from junior flyweight to start is not used to getting hit by 140-147 pounders. We don't even know how he is going to handle 135, yet.

Marquez has opened a blueprint for these bigger fighters to use in stopping Pacquiao. Pacquiao is very susceptible to getting hit and he can't afford to take a hit from the likes of natural 140-147 guys. I really think Pacquiao should stay at 130 and make a run for his legacy in that division.

Pretty difficult to say. You got dangerous people there migeul cotto, Mayweather(regardless of what other people say),  Kermit Cintron and the guy that cintron will be fighting Antonio something(I think margorito).

I think pacquiao should fight hatton or mayweather in 135 pound fights.

If he does fight in 140 to 147, hatton would be his ideal fight. They both have similar height and reach, its just that hatton is a little bit heavier and probably has more **** in his punches.
