How Would an Old Taxi Driver Sound?

I'm assigned to do a homework where I should narrate the trip from the airport to the college campus. Since I'm not American it would be great if you give me examples or stuff you heard an old American taxi driver have told you. I want it to look more realistic by knowing a bit of some general questions taxi drivers ask in an accent of older people.

Like: The way he'd ask where are you heading to? and general questions a taxi driver would ask usually.

after that you generally sit in silence, can attempt a conversation with them but the will not say much.
