How a hotel works ? it's departments and services?

Please, I want to know how the hotel works .. what types of employees it has , and other details once a customer request a room until it leaves .. and processes included between each of them..

and departments that hotel consists of , and what each department does , and relation between it and other departments..

Please help me ! or guide me to somewhere where I can find brief introduction to the hotel system..

PS: I made my searches in google , but I didn't know what are the search terms to try

Wow, that a big question :) I will give some pointers.

The employees in a large hotel would be:

Manager

Assistant manager

Receptionist(s)

Office worker

Porters

Chefs

Kitchen Assistants

Cleaners

The work done for a client would be:

Taking the booking including payment method.

Cleaning the room

Booking the client in

Taking their cases/bags to their room

Taking client to their room.

Checking client is happy with room

Delivering newspapers, if required.

Cooking meals for client.

Checking for breakages.

Booking out the client and accepting payment.

Cleaning the room.
