Question:

How about Sugar Shane Mosley vs. Oscar De La Hoya III?

Mosely is looking for a good fight, Oscar is looking for a good fight... Why not do De La Hoya vs. Mosley 3? The prior 2 fights between them were action packed and now they could make a ton of money for themselves and Golden Boy Promotions (they're partners in business).

In my opinion, this would be a very competitive fight and Oscar has something to prove because Shane has already beat him twice - so the incentive is there.

Please Oscar... DO NOT fight "Winky" or "Ricky" - the Winky fight would be boring and the Ricky fight wouldn't really be a fight. Ricky is too small and he's getting HIT way too much lately. Do us all a favor, don't fight him for the money - please.

If Mosley vs. De La Hoya doesn't happen, here are potential candidates for both...

MOSLEY vs... Paul Williams, Andre Berto, Kermit Cintron, Cotto/Margarito winner, Clottey/Judah winner.

OSCAR vs... Sergio Mora, Cotto/Margarito winner, Clottey/Judah winner, Pavlik, etc...?

What do you think...?

  1. I LOVE the Williams/Mosely suggestion.

Ricky and De La Hoya wouldn't be bad.

  2. I've wanted to see another match with Mosely for a a while.  Oscar got robbed in the rematch.

  3. I'd say no thank you for ODLH vs Mosley III because Mosley has already proven he owns him so what's the point?

I think ODLH vs. Cotto is always a great pay day fight for both of them, but seriously Oscar would get killed. Cotto will hit that body harder than B-Hop. However for the sake of boxing and to draw the most amount of fans that ticket has the biggest potential draw.

In terms of Sugar Shane I don't know. Cotto already beat him and I don't really like the Williams matchup I think Mosley takes that easy. Don't even bring Judah up. The boxing world will be better of if Zab stops boxing.

  4. De la Hoya - Cotto is the fight i want to see but i see his next fight being with either Mosley or Hatton in order to get the big payday he's missing out with Floyd.

Another possiblity is Sergio Mora to try to regain another Championship Belt and this one is actually a appealing one to me De La Hoya and Mora have similar style in that they both come foward with the exception that Mora has had 16 of 21 fights go the distance and has showed he fights with the same intensity in the 12th round that he does in the 1st unlike DLH who is know for tiring as the fight goes on but i see this being less likely its more of a big risk low reward comapared to a Ricky Hatton who allows himself to get hit and is high reward.

  5. shane only beat oscar once. the second fight shane was pumped up on roids and i still believe oscar clearly won. the judges must have been on roids too.

  6. I definitely don't want to see Mosley and De La Hoya go at it a third time, especially with Mosley being up two. It would be entirely different feeling if both men were at a split. It would then leave a score that needs to be settled, but that's not the case with those two.

Mosley and Williams could be interesting, though I think Mosley may take too many hits in that fight. If Mosley is really looking for a big name, then I think he'll stay away from Berto and Cintron. I think he would give Cotto another try, assuming he gets by Margarito. He would even give Margarito a try.

Now that the guy that Oscar has been avoiding, Forrest is out the picture, perhaps he would try his luck back at junior middleweight and fight Sergio Mora, though I would hate to see that fight. I'd rather see Oscar end his career on a bang, against Cotto or Margarito. Oscar needs to stay away from middleweight, so Pavlik is out the question, especially since his fights at that division were not great.
