They deserved it. Best match i ever saw in my life, unfortunately ended on Nole's, my, all Serbs and Nole's fans bad luck :(

Anyway, anyone who can say anything bad after this for both players does not need to answer this and should consider his/her self retarded.

PULSATING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A very, very good match.

Worth it to the max. Nadal 7-5, 2-6, 6-2.

If anyone wants an indication as to how brilliant this match was, just watch the last game. This sums up the entire match. Brilliant, but one where the tension was just so high and just never sure who was going to win what point.

This - without doubt - has been the best match that I have seen to date this clay court season. Bar none. Just such amazing tennis by both players. Kudos to both of them. This is the type of stuff he needs to do to earn some respect among the greater tennis community and public. No BS from him today (except a second set index finger salute to the crowd after winning a good point) - the commentators didn't really like that gesture as well...he is a long way from that ranking yet.

So Rafa will be #2 seed at RG after this one.

Absolutely gorgeous match. That 2nd and 3rd set scoreline does not justify the effort these 2 guys put into this match. Even I was shocked by Nole's performance. That guy is getting better each tourney. Even Fed was no where close to being like this aged 20.

Pistol, I tried answering your stupid question, but it got deleted when I was trying to post my reply. Anyway's, since what age have u been playing? May be the same age as when the pro's start? If yes, then shame on you for not playing on the pro circuit. I'm 27, I started 10 months and am fairly good, better than most who started 10 months ago (and that includes 5 months of not being able to play due to the winter) themselves, but I don't like playing matches. I want to get better at the game before I start playing matches. My serves also suck, so lets stop this match BS ok?

Go read up, when did he make the semi's of the french open first time? 2005. Yea, he made the qtr's in 2001 but then lost 1R, 1R and 3R in the next 3 years. Nole is not gonna be doing that. That guy is awesome!

Nole made his first semi's in 2007 aged 20. And, he was nothing at the start of the year... lost easily to fed in aussie, but played insanely at Indian wells and Miami that same year and pretty much hasn't looked back! Go Nole!

Do you remember Novak's statement: "Oh my God, what do I have to do to win one point?". It said it all. I think I never saw better tennis played! They fought they way for every single point and the match was dynamic and fun! I was sad though, when Nole lost, I'm not saying it's completely deserved, 'cause in my opinion they both did their best.

tennis is best, seriously, it disqualifies your answers, which aren't that bad all the time, but some comments you make just ruin your credibility. This question has nothing to do with Federer, yet you have to take a jab at him, which makes me realize that your answers are not based rather emotions. Go look up what all the best players from Rod Laver to now have said about Federer and then come back and 'dis him.

If you don't like him, fine, but at least use solid points, and not silly frivolous c**p.

h**l! I'll get up off the couch,give them a standing ovation or do the Mexican hat-dance in a mined swamp! Anything to show appreciation for that great,great game. Djokovic played superbly and would have been able to beat ANYONE with his game today - anybody except one Rafa Nadal.!

Today we also witnessed a Nadal whose strategy was a winning factor. This guy is not purely physical as so many of his detractors like to say or insinuate. But what we all love to watch in a Nadal match is how the guy never says die. This guy is a fighter. So is the long,tall Serb but the husky Spaniard was almost inhuman today.

Congratulations to all Federer fans. He should have tomorrow's game wound up. I'm not putting down Fed's immense talent(after all he is the Number ONE!)but no one,not even Nadal, can have played today's intense match and survive another tomorrow.

i have watched the match live on tv... its very very good match from both players... novak not giving up... saved some match points.. but still nadal's physical and mental strength who prevails... novak should be very careful at the net... winning only about 50% of all net attempts... nadal's footwork is good.. and novak's forehand as well..
