I'm all for it. Now if they'd just get corporal punishment back in schools.

  1. I am still on the fence about this. Do you think they will use sense or will they be as quick to shoot as many people in the US are today.....

  2. If you have ever taught a class where the students acted up you can secretly enjoy the thought of having  a gun on you.  LOL  Just dream about waving it around and scaring them to behave and learn something.  You know I'm only kidding.

  3. arent they trying to get guns off the street in general?!

    this absolutely ridiculous!

  4. Instead of Detention, they could have a Neck Tie Party..

  5. Most  of  our  teachers  were  racists. If  that's  the case  i'd  take  a  gun  to  school  as  well.

  6. All sounds a bit drastic. Shoot naughty children ? What the h***s wrong with the good old fashioned cane.?

  8. I think it is a great response.  When those gunmen broke into an Amish school and killed those kids, it would have not quite the same effect if a gun was shoved right back in his face, and then maybe 7 kids would not have died, same for VTech, Columbine, etc...

  9. They will only have to tell the kid once to stop talking.

  10. SADLY I do think that they should be able to carry guns. Of course there should be strict restrictions on such a thing. It is a sad world we live in when we think that teachers of all people would need guns to protect themselves and other innocent children.

  11. Harrold, Texas is located on Hwy 287 between Vernon and Electra in Wilbarger County.  The town evidently doesn't have a police department and relies on the County Sheriff which is 30 miles away in Vernon.  The school only has 110 students and that would indicate that there isn't much of a tax base and therefore a limited budget.  In the year 2000 the population of Harrold was only 320.  I do not know what it is now.  It seems to me that these people are trying to take care of themselves rather than run whinning to the government for a handout.   We didn't seem to her a lot of whinning from the folks that were flooded out in Iowa either.   I think Harrold and Iowa should be examples to all of us.  At least they're trying to stand on their own.  Based on what the school board said they're trying to be "prepaired" for any occurance, they're being responsible and therefore they don't need to be painted as a bunch of Rambos.   Please erase the oldwest mentality,  it's is 2008 in Harrold too.

  12. the day they carry guns is the day i start home schooling, good thing i don't live in Texas

we have enough ******* problems with gun violence in schools,  hey great idea, lets have guns at school.

  13. wow..don't think that teacher carrying guns is the solution to violence in the school..stricter measures in place, zero tolerance to all forms of violence, students who become violence should then be place in another form of education with heavy restrictions upon them and strict consequences that go with the punishment, sending out the message that violence will not be able to exist in our schools.
