  1. merit sounds good.

i'm starting to think the politicians should be required to:

pass the existing citizenship test, including knowledge and understanding of the Constitution

be examined and tested for all forms of mental illness, personality disorders etc - and those results should be fully released

and i would REALLY like a way to test if the politician lives as he/she says WE shouldl be living

(though i have no idea how to test that)

  2. Hey, it's okay to dream.

  3. its nice idea. political parties creat rift ,discrimination . main criteria for choosing person should be his merit . than only it can serve our purpose .

  4. The two party system denies me my Constitutionally guaranteed form of government.  My "representative" does not vote for me or my district.  He or she votes the "party" line and I have no representation.

The only way is to not ever vote for an incumbent.  Third party will not work because we are not a parliamentary system in which people have to get along.  Our system creates an incompetent speaker of the House that has been made a fool buy the President.

  5. Nothing is stopping you from voting on merit. If you read the Constitution it says we have freedom of association and that includes the right of people to form political parties. You have no respect for the rights of others.
