How accurate are the First Response Ovulation Predictor Kits?

Question

Has anyone used these and got pregnant very quickly and if so how many months did it take? any success stories welcomed! My husband and i were thinking of getting one.

I think they are just as accurate as any other.  I've personally never used them, but I've never heard anything bad about them.  Most women can use any brand of OPK and they work fine for them....just like HPTs.  I've heard negative stories about Answer OPKs and HPTs, but that's about it.  

I've been using OPKs since April...just got AF today, so I know it didn't work this month..boo!  Even though I'm not pregnant yet, I still HIGHLY recommend OPKs....they really help out when TTC.  My cycle varies about 5 days, so they definitely help.

I also recommend charting your cycle....Fertility Friend is a fantastic website with a lot of information...and you can get a free online calendar and sign up for an email class if you'd like.  I really recommend this site for charting.  

I also visit Essential Conception Guide frequently.  Kirstyn Sierra has some amazing videos....you should take the time to watch them.  

If you use OPKs, you greatly improve your chance of conceiving.  If you chart your cycles by taking your BBT and checking your CM, you really increase your chances....best of luck and lots of baby dust!

I have used the Clear Blue Ovulation Monitor and I loved it.  Its so informative of where you are in your cycle.  I would highly recommend it.  I did conceive the first time trying but unfortunately miscarried.  I am waiting for me period to come to attempt again and will definitely be using it again!!!

they are pretty accurate in telling you your fertile days but I tell you the month we stopped using them is the month we became pregnant.  Probably because it was less stressful finding out the correct timing and temperature thing. by the time we stopped using them, I had an idea about when I am supposed to ovulated due to it falls the same time every month according to previous OPK's  and it gave us an idea when to do it more.. although we played it safe we just BD'd every ohter day since CD10....
