How accurate are the dollar tree hpt's?

Question

My SIL took one this morning,but didn't' read it for 20 minutes. It had a very faint line. She was supposed to get her pd on the 24th of August but it hasn't come yet. Are those test pretty accurate or should she buy a more expensive one. I have never used them so I don't know. I always buy the more expensive one for me.

I took dollar stor tests and mine were right. I couldn't see myself paying all that $ to pee on a stick. The most I spent was $3, at Dollar General.

they can be just as accurate..  

I took one days before my missed period and still got a positive.

believe it or not Digital tests actually have less accuracy than any other test.  those are expensive!

Hey TTC!! good question, they work just like tha others, I have used them with my last 3 pregnancy's, she needs to read it on time-like after 5 min to be accurate, as with any test. if the line is a pink or purple tint it's positive, but beware the "ghost Line". In other words a line that sorta greyish.

I took the Dollar Tree's hpt, but the lines were not faint at all.  I was only 3 days late on my period and now I am pregnant due 9/14.  I know a few of my friends have used them as well and so far they have been accurate for all of us.

i have found that those are sometime more accuret. but if there was a line. take another one. every 48 hrs your number go up. take the test first thing in the morning with your first pee. that is the best time. and baby dust. and good luck

there all different and pick up your hormones and differents (

The dollar tree hpts are very accurate. They measure as low as 25 hcg (call the 1800 number on the box). When you buy an expensive test, you arn't paying for quality. You are paying for million dollar ad campaigns.

I find those tests most accurate out of all pregnancy tests.  I got all positives with dollar tree tests, and negatives with those expensive EPT tests.  Turned out I was only a week and a half to two weeks pregnant when I got that positive on the dollar tree tests.  (I know I was onyl a week or two pregnant because the ultrasound showed I was only 6weeks and I made an appointment for four weeks after I got the positive.)  But she went over the time limit.  You are supposed to read teh results within 10 minutes.  So buy a few more and have her take those ones again and read them within the time frame.

Very accurate, but you have to read them in the time stated on the directions, anything longer is considered invalid.
