  1. They are decently accurate, remember tire pressure differs throughout the day since temperatures are different and it affects the amount of psi in the tires. Also when you change to a new set of tires the accuracy does tend to go down since it is not the stock tire. After 2-3 years the sensors start to act up and most of them fail.


  2. I actually don't know about the Chevy, but my Volkswagen and Mercedes both have tire pressure monitors and they are with 1/2 pound of my very accurate hand held gauge. I don't see why the Chevy would be much different.  

  3. very accurate if you are running the exact tires specified on the vehicle.

  4. Probably more accurate than the gauge you check the tires with, but they can take a while to update if you add or remove air.

  5. Pressure monitors are very accurate, generally within a quarter of a pound.  But you won't see it on your display since they round up or down to the nearest whole digit.  But they are very accurate.
