  1. as accurate as the man behind the trigger, cheap Remington 870 less than 300.00 can kill just as many ducks or more as a guy with a $1,000.00+ Ruger if he knows how to shoot and what he's doing

  2. Very accurate rifle, Thompson makes a h**l of a gun.  To the royce guy, the 870 happens to be a shotgun but will work wonderfully in the right hands much as a rifle that shoots 8 feet to the left once you get used to it.

It is all in how you sight in not how the gun is accurate, but if you are using a 870 to sight in then you may have some issues past 50 yards.

ps if you have an 870 with a sight then you need to sell you gun and your nuts!!!

  3. Yes. This is what I hunt with in 30-06.

I also use a Browning BAR in 30-06 too for fast handling auto.

I shoot 168 grain Barnes X Cor-bon bullets, or Black Hills Gold 180 Grain Barnes Triple Shock.

They both shoot well, but the Black Hills Gold shoots better groups.

I like the Thompson Pro, because after you buy the gun, you can get another barrel for about 275 dollars, and have another caliber.
