How accurate is the fiesta mk 6 fuel gauge?

the one with the blocks going up the gauge? i would rather the normal needle gauge personally.

use your common sense fill up when it's gets to a quarter full [always the optimist] and then judge it as you go

Well mine went down to 9 miles left in the tank earlier and the red light and buzzer came on just to worry me more! So at least I know I can go down to that much in future!

The way I see it is the less fuel I'm carrying, technically the less fuel I will use carrying it around!

Ford fuel gauges have been notoriously innacurate for years. Fill up when they indicate a quarter of a tank left.
