How am I going to survive 8th grade?

No one's in my class! I have no close friends....how am I going to survive?

I have had similar experiences before. You need to never loose contact with your close friends, and make new friends. And try to get together with friends during before and after school hours, and during lunch and Physical Education

I'm with you on that one! I'm going into 8th grade, too.  I started a new middle school last year and didn't really have any CLOSE friends.  I guess you have to get out of your comfort zone and try to make some new friends.

haha you will probably do better than me. i had to switch schools in the middle of 7th grade, with pink hair. but i have to move a lot, so i know to just try and talk to everyone, see if there are people you like. also just try and keep up with your old friends. call or get their yahoo messenger or something.

by the way i am going to high school!! even scarier. =O

Trust me you will,I've been moving each year since i was in 5th grade

and am going into 9th but luckily my parents didn't move this year so i have my 8th grade friends.

Well the first week its gonna be tough but then you will get the hang of it and start talking to girls/boys and you will make friends.

Alot of kids in your class are probably new from last year, or shy. Worry about makin friends with them.

*Say "HI" to at least one different person in each class. Iit will make a difference, and will want to know more about you see you again, and when there are projects, they'll be sure to pick you. (Or atleast consider it)

dont worry, dont have that attitude either when i was in third grade i said the same thing and i ended up meeting one of my best friends on the first day! Be friendly to people you dont know and be fun to be around, be nice to your teachers and always smile:)

also plan something fun to do to break up your day like every friday watch a tv show, hang out with your friends and do extra stuff like sports and band and stuff

I had that problem once but I quickly made friends just by starting a small conversation with them. (:

It doesn't hurt to start a conversation, so you might as well try with a simple 'hello'. :D

It seems like the year will last forever, but it will soon be a fuzzy dream of the past.  Jr High (and High School) both sucked for me.  You'll find a close friend somehow.  Join an after school group--a small one.  Find one you enjoy, or even one you don't.  You'll meet a friend.  Give it a little time.

Honey, you think EIGHTH GRADE'S a problem? I'm going into 9th grade, trust me, you'll be fine. If the teacher assigns you a desk next to someone, maybe start by talking to them, trust me, there are MANY MANY MANY oppurtunities to make friends, such as group projects, and other things.
