How am I supposed to have an acting resume if I don't have any experience?

Question

I want to do some little tiny roles for little films but they all require resumes. I have never took a class, but I can't find any around here, and I have no other experience, so how am I supposed to have a resume? I don't think I have a community theatre, or if I do where do I find it?

You need to get some experience before you can expect to land any sort of film role, tiny or otherwise.  Call your city hall and ask if you have a Civic Theatre or anything of the sort.  Then contact your local adult school, or look in local papers.  The important thing is to get involved with acting somehow - you need to either take a class (if you want it bad enough, you will have to dig, apparently, because the area you live in seems to have nothing obvious available).  Get some sort of role, even if it's just as a bit player or extra in a local or community theatre production.  Then get another one.  When you have at least three, name them all on your brand new RESUME.

Google acting classes

If theres none of them- then just have a peice of paper that says no experience. Unfourtunatly, that probalby wont look good but they will like that you are honest!!!

You NEVER lie or you will surely be caught and will never be hired.  It's a very small community and everyone knows who cast and played what so if you lie, someone will know.  

I can almost certainly guarantee you there are classes and theatres near you.  Get your local newspaper and look at the entertainment section.  Look for the live theatre listings, then look online for those theatres websites.  See what classes they have available.  You need to start with classes and maybe a workshop that ends with a performance because you need performance experience.  You really need to build a resume.  For now if you only have school plays or dance recitals, put that.  When you can replace those with legit credits, please remove those credits.

If you really want this, you have to not sit back and say things like 'we don't have that' because they're everywhere.  You have to try harder to find them.  You will if you really want it.

Well, you have to start out doing little summer camp musicals. That looks good, it says even though this isn't the best I'm here and doing it because this is my dream. And films! Yah right!? Girl what are you thinkin'? You can't get into a film like that. LOL! I'm sure your school or high school has a chorus or band. That also looks good.
