How am i supposed 2 shoot da ball correctly???

iight i have a real good shot...my best skill is shooting. but some people say i bring da ball behind my head or its 2 slow. i do everything else right its just my upper body mechanics dat needs work.

PUT YOUR FEET SHOULDER WIDTH APART THEN PUT UR SHOOTING HAND WHICH IS THE HAND U RIGHT WITH BEHIND THE BALL AND UR OTHER HAND WHICH IS THE GUIDE HAND ON THE SIDE OF THE BALL BEND UR KNEES AND GO UP AND SNAP UR WRIST TO SHOOT THE BALL DONT SHOOT WITH UR GUIDE HAND ITS JUST THERE TO GUIDE THE BALL SO ITS REALLY LIKE SHOOTING WITH ONE HAND AND WHEN U SHOOT THE BALL SHOULD BE ROTATING NOT FLIPING OR STAYING IN ONE POSITION IN THE AIR.

Ok, considering im 5'10", i concentrated more on my shooting rather than dunking. What helped me was four letters, apply them to your shots and they will help you become a streakier and more accurate shooter. B.E.E.F. Balance, Elbow, Eyes, Follow through. Dont shoot it from behind your head..its not very accurate and easy to get it blocked, especially if your slow shooting. Concentrate on shooting from the shoulder region. Behind your head will cause the ball to not be so accurate. You wont have control of the shot which will cause it to go everywhere.  Im taking it your right handed, so take the ball place it in your right hand with fingers spread (this will help with accuracy as well), take your left hand and place it on the left side (also for accuracy and shot control) bring it down to the top of your right shoulder, keep it balanced and shoot it like you normally would. But follow through with your shot. As you know, your right hand will force the ball but your left hand and the spreading of the fingers will get more accuracy for the shot. Hope this helps. But practice with it, and i most guarantee it will work. Or take a look at the way pistol pete maravich or wesley person shoots the ball, anyone who wants to be a better shooter should look at those forms of shooting.
