Ferrari F2004, on slicks, V10 engine, with Michael Schumacher and Kimi Raikkonen as drivers for Ferrari.

What would your predictions for the season be and how quick would they be as an all round Scuderia package?

  1. Well, there would have been a lot of Schumi-Raikkonen one-two finishes, almost all in that order.

They might have matched the 1988 McLaren team and won all but one of the races, instead of losing 3 of them as the Schumi/Barrichello combination did.

  2. They would wipe the perverbial floor! Schumi in his most dominant years driving 2002 and Kimi in 2005.

Car may need some aero work for slicks.

  3. I guess they wud b gd, but as another team (maybe Nigel Mansell + Lewis Hamilton in a Mclaren) get a sniff of a win, Ferrari will hav 2 resort bac 2 cheatin - there usual ways!

  4. piquet senoir and mansell in a 1987 williams would b better.....

  5. The problem is that Ferrari directed all their attention towards Schumacher when he was there. This worked great for entertainment values in the late 90's, but caused boredom (for me at least) in 02 and 04 when Ferrari had the fastest car.

I'm convinced that no-one would have beaten Schumacher in the same car, not Raikkonen, not Alonso, and not anyone else. The point is that we'll never know because the Ferrari was always made for Schumacher, and his team mate was always made to follow orders, even when they weren't needed (Austria 02, anyone?).

In answer to your question, it would definitely have been an unstoppable force, and, on equal teams, it would probably have been a close battle. Both drivers would have to push until the end, and I suspect they would have won every race (apart from perhaps a wet one or one with unusual circumstances). My predictions would have been Schumacher as champion, with Raikkonen just a few points behind.

  6. That would be a dream team.

  7. Ohhohohohohohoho, it's like pairing Kimi with Alonso, probably better though. Can you imagine a pissed off Schumi when Kimi does something to him (like overtook or holding him up).

  8. If this could be the case in real life.......We all would be here sitting and crying here as we all did when senna lost his life!, As we see from the past that TWO VERY GOOD Drivers are not happy at the same time in the same team!, Alonso and Hamilton, Senna and prost and many more are examples!

Combinations like this only last for a season or two and may end with a fight or some controversy as both may have some or the other problem........From this I only think of how Massa is sacrifising for his Team.........

In combinations like this, one has to control his Temper, Ego n stuff.......If once burst Its All Gone!

If this combination exsisted Ferrari would have won almost every race and people might have lost intrest as saying"ONLY FERRARI WINS"!

A competition consists of Competetors, Contenders, Arguements, Controversies, Issues, Rivalries and stuff.......

If in reality, for me this pair would have ROCKED!!!!!

  9. What?

    No team orders?

    How could that be?

A dream more of a Schumacher vs Senna scenario.

Not necessarily in the same car, but both in equally competitive cars.

Of course none of this makes much sense as Senna was much older than Schumi but one can always dream.

We've had quite a few examples of two of the greatest drivers in F1 racing for the same team.

More often than not, one had the upper hand, usually due to circumstances playing in his hands, like Rosberg and Prost for example in the McLaren, or Prost and Mansell in the Ferrari, but Senna vs Prost for two years in the same car was a dream come true, the most intense intra team battle of top quality drivers I've personally witnessed.

Piquet vs Mansell came pretty close but not quite.

  10. Wow! They'd be unstoppable and other teams will just have to content with being second. There'll be loads of 1-2 finishes for Ferrari. With Schumi on board, victory could mean being several minutes ahead of the next guy, assuming that Schumi doesn't slow down and relax in the closing stages of the race

  11. They wouldn't be unstoppable, because they would kill each other.

Wouldn't be stopped by anyone else though.

Be nice to see them fight it out in the same machinery. I hope Kimi accepts his invite to this years ROC.

  12. not very.  Kimi would force Michael to drink and they would spend too much time at the bar.
