How an i affected by the effects of soil erosion in some parts of the country?

Indirectly everybody is affected by increasing costs of foods.  Loss of land area for farming has to be made up some how.  It is done by using new land or fertilizing nutrient depleted land.  The costs are passed onto the consumer.

Some what more vaguely, everybody has to endure the loss of  biodiversity, at least temporarily, the loss of nature, etc.

You and I are affected by anything that causes the cost of food production to increase.  Right now we are really paying the penalty for higher cost.  Not only the cost of growing food, but the actual competition of markets for a limited supply and the cost associated with farm credit and lending and the overwhelming dept the USA has.
