  1. Your thirst in acquiring knowledge through upgrading yourself,..and in this instance, information technology is truely admirable and,..what you would need is time.. and with time, you will definitely meet your target to be on par with these 'youngsters'.. Why not have a 'shift' in mindset that you are ahead of your fellow peers..

Considering at this moment, I'm sure no one can replace the vast experiences that you have accumulated over the years.. this,.. definitely cannot be 'cook up' by your fellow juniors..

If I were your junior, I will jump at the opportunity to 'tap' on what you have..

Do not worry about catching up with them but focus on using your strengths when you deal with 'challenges'...what you are trying to achieve now is 'technical'.. Your experiences will come in when it comes to implementations..

  2. Why do you feel you have to compete? Sixty-three isn't old - you can still learn (if you want to) but I'm not really sure what you mean when you ask about competing with a young I T professional. Compete at what?

  3. I knew nothing about computers 2 years ago, but now people ask me how to do things, just have to believe in yourself and learn a little more each day is all.

  4. You don't need to compete if he has computer experience you have life experience,if your abilities in computer is less then try to work on the qualities you know the young guy cant beat you on, because everyone is unic in there own wonderful way!!!
