How and what can I say to get transfer to another universitie??please help?

I'm from Nottingham,

and Studying Accounting & Finance (BA) at Derby university, And I have done my first year and I would really reallly like to go to Trent University In Nottingham,

I've completed my first year.

How can I get a transfer there to 2nd year??

and

Whats a good reason that I can give to the university so they will accept me,

  1. Talk to the uni you want to go to and ask them what you need to have grade wise.  You might need to do some extra units if the two course are not closely linked. Also they may just give you entry to the second year but with no grades for the first year.

    A reason to transfer - well you must have one. Just tell them

    The main people you have to convince this is a good idea is your LEA - they pay your fees.


  2. First you should make sure that your credits are transferable.  Next you should check out the new school's website and look for the transfer form.  You will need to also transfer your transcripts which might cost up to 25 or 30 dollars depending on the school's policy.

    Usually the school will accept transfer students as long as they meet the minimum criteria, like a 2.0 GPA.

    You might also want to check into residency, don't pay more than is necessary.  You should be able to get the proper information regarding residency issues and admissions from Trent University's website.

    I would advise staying at the community college and finish up your lower division credits because you will most likely save a lot of money.  You can transfer after you have completed your first two years.
