Question:

How and what is this bug bite problem I'm having?

I have a BUNCH of bug bites on my body, fairly large... dime size bug bites. On my face, but mostly on my arms, hand, legs, and feet. Some of the bites are just 2 dime size swollen spots right next to each other and some bites are by it self. And yes it is red. I went camping for a week by a river but that was over 2 weeks ago. But I got more bites today. I'm the only one in my household that has this problem. So if anyone can tell me how to "cure" this I would DEEPLY appreciate it! thanks

  1. Nylek,

Dime size bites sound like bedbugs to me.  Do they show up overnight?  If so then that is most likely the cause and if you are the only one then they are likely just in your bed and have nto yet spread.

You may want to check your mattress seam for them.

You will also want to figure out a treatment.  many people are choosing to go chemical free route for this as well as using an exterminator.  The one product I see mentioned most often is called BedBug Termiantor and it is made by Kleen-Free and works onn contact with the bedbugs to kill them.

    Good luck

  2. They could mosquito bites, and you could have some chigger bites.  They burrow under the skin.  We used to put clear fingernail polish on the bites to kill the chigger.  They can move around and bite you in other places.  They get on you when you walk in high grasses.  I used to get them from just walking in our fields of high grass when we had horses...

  3. These are not necessarily bug bites.  There is the possibility of an allergic reaction to something you have come into contact with, or it might even be hives.  Also, there is the remote possibility of 'chicken pox'.  However, if we operate on the assumption of bug bites, there could perhaps be a nest of some sort of creepy crawly in your room-- spiders, fleas, bedbugs.. the list goes on.  Check in and around your bed for any places the culprits could be hiding.  If you have pets, check them for fleas.  It is possible for flea bites to show up a much more severe reaction in some individuals than it does in others.
