If you don't already wear makeup, you probably want to keep it fairly natural, just enough to enhance your features.  Without knowing your complexion, eye or hair color, I can't be specific with colors, but I would say a sheer liquid foundation for your skin type, natural colored blush on the apples of your cheeks, eyeshadow (a light base color and a contour color that compliments your eyes - plums, purples and wines for green eyes as long as you don't have any red undertones in your skin, golds, organges, bronzes for blue eyes and almost any color works for brown eyes).  You can also use the contour color as your liner underneath your eyes and a regular liner on top.  Lips can be any color that compliments your skin tone - plums and reds are in for the season.  Women can wear full makeup up to any age.

Also, if you need help with application, tips and tricks, just go to your local drug store/department store/make-up counter and ask for help. They'll know what colors will look good on you and help you learn to apply them. That's what they are there for!!

also, lipgloss if you want.
