  1. Wonder where the first person lives to say you can plant them in the fall.

They are one of the easiest veggies to grow.

This is a little late to start one, so I suggest buying a plant already started.

You can grow them in a large pot, ask someone where you get the plant for suggestions on the size for the variety you choose. You can, of course, plant them in the ground too.

They need at least 8 hours of sun a day, & prefer a break from the afternoon sun, if possible.

They will need staked, some kind of support, or they will fall over & your tomatoes will be on the ground where animals & insects can easily get them. They also tend to rot if on the ground.

Keep the soil moist, in hot weather this could mean watering every day.

It's a good idea to fertilize, just weekly if using Miricle-Gro, too much can cause blossom end rot, so can too much water & inconsistant watering (letting them wilt)

There are fertilizers just for tomatoes like Tomato-Tone.

    Enjoy

  2. you plant them in the spring or in the fall. all you have to do is water them and when they grow, make sure you put a stick or something in the ground and tie the tomato plant to it.
