Does the doc always hear 2 heart beats or show up on the scan right around 3 months or can you find out later than that?

Also, how do working parents afford daycare????

  1. When I was pg with twins, around 10 weeks or so, they always had a hard time hearing the heartbeat. It kind of seemed to move around, but they never heard 2.  I had a routine ultrasound at about 18 weeks and got the news then.  I was a little bit bigger than I should have been, but not outrageous.  Since that time, I usually get an early ultrasound to know it it's twins or not.  Haven't had them since though!

I did work with someone whose wife had twins and they never knew it until the delivery.  One was apparently always right behind the other and never showed up until their bday!

I don't know how people afford it. Especially for an infant!

  2. At my six week ultrasound is when they checked for twins, as I am a fraternal twin so its in my genes.

  3. I found out yesterday at 6w1d that we were having twins. I had a transvaginal ultrasound and we saw two heartbeats. Good luck!

  4. Daycare - government help or try to earn more or cut other things down

Twins - the doctor hears two separate heart beats and see's two separate fetus's/babies on the scan

  5. at the hospitals they have ultrasound machine that can show who is having twins.

  6. A friend of mine heard only one heartbeat. They were just in sync with each other. They only way to tell is a fetal sono. Usually at 6 weeks they can see two sacs. Daycares will tend to offer a discount for siblings. Just try and book them now because its hard to fit in infants let alone 2 of them.

  7. You can go to a doctor that is specialized in that kind of stuff

you can research low cost daycare, or ask a friend

sorry not to be much of any help, but i hope that it helped a little bit
