Question:

How and where are curling rocks made?

Just wondering if they have a hollow core, and how they are shaped and machined.

  1. i saw that program too, go to discovery channels home page then go to How Its Made. then select the curling rock topic and watch it. its really neat.


  2. The program 'How it's made' on the Discovery Channel did an excellent program on this in the middle of January... Your best bet would be to catch a rerun of it...

  3. Curling rocks are a round block of granite. There is a small hole drilled in the middle in order to attach the handle with a bolt.

    They are 44lbs, and shaped with metal tools.
