I heard imported PSP's are much better than the US ones. And the PSP Messenger, Navigation System, and Video Camera don't really work on the US ones. I would really like answers from people who already have an imported PSP.

  1. ebay ?

  2. you can order from online.

  3. I really would not reccomend doing this because there are region restrictions and you would not be able to play/ watch a lot of umd games/ videos. Also, a lot of the accesories dont work in the US, (no US maps on the nav system). Also, the camera does work on the us psps, and you can download "portals", which you access through the internet browser on your psp, through which you can do MSN, AIM, Yahoo messenger. The foreign psps are not worth it because of the restrictions and the higher price.

  4. It's all the same. The reason why GPS, and camera don't work on US PSP is because you need a hack firmware AKA custom firmware. Buying PSP from Japan can be very expensive, since they mostly make and sell collectable PSP or PSP with rare color. The GPS and camera will work for Japan PSP's (right out of the box) because it was made to their specification. For US and UK PSP owner, you'll need to install a custom firmware in order for those attachment to work. By the way, I have hacked PSP's from Japan, UK, and US, and the GPS & camera works fine after PSP was hacked. If you need a tutorial on how to make and install maps for the PSP, search for my screen name " MaPee1982 " on youtube. Don't worry about the region restricted stuff because it's not true most of the time. Even if it was true, a custom firmware can turn your PSP region free.
