How and where do Pineapples grow?

Question

I was wondering, how pineapples grow and where?

My boyfriend said that they grown under the ground and my family (and myself) thought they grew on trees?

Anyone tell me exactly how they grow? how long they take to grow and if you can grow them in England?

They grow from the middle of bushes rather strange when they start out small they are red and then they go yellow as they get bigger! I've not heard of anyone being able to grow them here because they need to be in a hot climate - I saw them in India.

They grow in the ground.

I dont know if you can grow them here, you can see them growing in the Eden Product in Cornwall.

o my gosh!

i had no idea some people did not know this.

pineapples grow in warm climate like south america, hawaii, africa, etc.

they grow on the ground among what looks like a pineapple bush.

pineapples grow in the ground.

it takes a couple of months, and needs to be in sunny weather.

you can grown them absoulutely anywhere, aslong as its always above 20 degrees..  i would recomend growing them in summer. and give them plenty of water :)

i would no all this because my uncle grows pineapples.

pineapples grow on very spiny plants, the leaves are like the leaves of agaves, they are grown in hot climate, in india, the carribean etc.

they grow on hot climates (mainly in summer) (i dunno wat temprature), on the ground you can grow them in England if you think you can get it dat hot (very unlikely)
