A friend of mine has wrongly been put in prison on false allegations from his ex wife.

Today at court a Judge shouted at him and told him that he doesn’t care about the past only about the rules of the country that wants extradition. Basically is there any way possible that someone can complain about this judge and his attitude?

There’s a longer story to this but I don’t have time to explain and I just need some pointers in the right direction.

Uk please

  1. The judges can pretty much do anything they want.  If you think that is bad, I hope you never get a chance to see what prosecuting attorneys get away with!

I always thought a Judge was the person in the middle being unbias to either side.  Until the day I heard the judge say to the police officer ( who didn't show up THREE time and had to be found and brought in) "You are making us look bad".

  2. You can discuss this with your BAR association, but I am also willing to bet that your friend would not stop talking or just kept ranting until the Judge yelled at him.

Is that unprofessional? Yes. Is it illegal or does it leave the Judge open to charges? No.

But the BAR association can give you all the details concerning those actions.

Best of luck and I hope this is useful to you

  3. You are SOL.
