How and where do i get a gyarados on pokemon pearl/diamond?

i no its probz easy to find bu i jus cant get it av tried fishin 4 an hour now!!! PLEASE help!!!!

use a super rod in water in celestic town

Once u get the super rod fish in most waters and they will be there or train up majicarp.

easy.. catch a magikarp with an old rod (best done with old rod ) and lvl the magikarp to lvl 20 and it will evolve into Gyarados

old rod gets poke at low levels... it will learn more of its moves that way

I did it the hard way.  I  captured a level 5 Magikarp and raised it into a Gyarados.  I've fished for Gyarados before, it either takes forever or it's impossible.
